What is Aesop Protective Body Lotion SPF 50?
The Protective Lip Balm SPF 30 nourishes and protects the lips with UVA
and UVB protection. Essential for daily use.
Aesop Protective Body Lotion SPF 50 is Aesop's first formulation to offer broad-spectrum SPF50 protection in a moisturising body lotion.
Designed to help protect the skin from the sun’s damaging UVA and UVB rays, this Aesop sunscreen has been formulated with a combination of filters to achieve high-level protection, and skin-nourishing Vitamin E to lightly hydrate. The product is lent a fresh and summery aroma from essential oils of Spearmint, Lemon and Lavender.
As with all SPF products, you should ensure you read the label before use, and follow the directions to ensure you are achieving the stated sun protection.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. For external use only. Not to be used on broken, damaged or diseased skin. Avoid contact with eyes and clothing. Prolonged exposure to the sun should be avoided, and it is important to wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear when exposed to the sun. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Not to be used on children or infants. Sunscreen is only one component of sun protection. Reapply at least every two hours. Not water resistant.
The Important Bits you need to know about this oh-so-fab SPF product:
- For children under six months of age, consult with your family physician before use.
- Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad-Spectrum
- To further mitigate the risks of sun exposure, wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.
- Apply 20 minutes before sun exposure. Sunscreen is only one part of sun protection so wear protective clothing and seek shade. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming, towelling and perspiring in accordance with directions.
In compliance with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulation, we cannot provide remuneration (i.e. $1 store credit) for review on TGA listed and registered products.

Just wondering if this is any good to apply on the face?

A.Hi Amy, There is nothing to say you can't use this on your face however, it is rich in Vitamin E which can be quite heavy on the face. If you are wanting an SPF to apply to the face you could take a look at the Aesop Safe & Zine Facial Hydrating Cream SPF15. xx
