SkinCeuticals is a brand I get asked about all the time. It’s loved by dermatologists, it’s everywhere on TikTok and is it worth it?
Well as a Dermal Therapist, I have to say yes.
Now of course it’s a little bougier, so it’s not like you need any of the products, but it is a brand that truly puts their science and research before anything else.
Meaning, it’s also why people love the results and why it gets so much hype.
Plus, the SkinCeuticals skincare philosophy is built on three main pillars: prevent, protect and correct. And while the brand continues to grow, their curation of products will always come back to this - and it just makes sense.
So let’s play a game called 'If I were stuck on a deserted island and could only take a few Skinceuticals products, this is what I would take from their lineup'.
Because I have tried so many of their products and while everyone is across some of their cult favourites they do also have some very slept-on products too.
So let’s discuss below.
Favourite SkinCeuticals Products.
1. SkinCeuticals Metacell Renewal B3.

This is one of my favourite SkinCeuticals products and not spoken about enough.
It feels lightweight like a serum but hydrates like a cream.
With a cocktail of ingredients like niacinamide, a tri-peptide concentrate (that stimulates the natural synthesis of collagen) and pure glycerin, it’s designed to treat discolouration, soothe the skin and help with loss of elasticity.
I actually fell in love with it during one of my pregnancies while my skin was extremely sensitive so it’s great for any drier, mature, more sensitive skins.
It’s hydrating, calming and brightening.
2. SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E.

This is a powerful antioxidant night serum, which might seem counter-intuitive but it is another very slept-on product.
It is designed to reduce the effects of collagen breakdown while repairing the skin and preventing further damage so your skin really looks and feels bright and healthy.
It combines 1% pure resveratrol, 0.5% baicalin and 1% alpha tocopherol in its formula, and you honestly wake up looking with skin that is so soft and smooth.
Again, I stumbled on this one during one of my pregnancies so it would be great during that time or I would be using it as a buffer on your nights off a vitamin A.
This would be great for most skin types.
3. SkinCeuticals Retinol.

The SkinCeuticals retinols are spicy. I just need to put a warning out there. So if you’ve never tried a retinol before don’t just jump in at the 1% …unless you want to shed like a snake.
The reason I love these, especially for consumers, is because they are easy to navigate.
There are three different strengths so before you buy just think about your own skin.
Is it sensitive? Have you never used an A before? Then start at 0.3%.
Are you a seasoned retinol user and get regular treatments? Then the 0.5% might be best.
However, the 1% is bloody strong. It is about as strong as you can get without a prescription, although it is a formula that not every skin can handle.
As always no matter where you start it’s important to ease into these products slowly.
4. SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore.

Ceramides are essential for healthy skin function and while this moisturiser is pricey it will work wonders on a more mature, or lipid-dry skin type.
It’s formulated with a concentration of reparative ingredients: 2% pure ceramides, 4% natural cholesterol, and 2% fatty acids, and it will firm and plump the skin.
Although if you have impaired your barrier or if your skin is feeling a little rough? It can help restore it to a healthy and balanced state too.
I personally love it as a makeup base.
5. SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF.

Could I leave this feature without a mention of at least one of their cult-status vitamin C products?
Of course not, because IYKYK.
However, before purchasing one of these, as a Dermal Therapist I am always telling people to think about their own skin and concerns - don’t just buy any random one.
Phloretin CF is best for oily/combination skin that has pigmentation/skin discolouration concerns.
It brightens and protects the skin from free radical damage using its patented C complex, but it also contains 2% phloretin which is a potent antioxidant… and honestly, in a quest for healthy skin, you can never have too many antioxidants.
