I’ll admit, I’ve always been skeptical of hair mists - my thought process being that surely a scented shampoo and conditioner does the trick?
But when DIOR announced they were launching four, new repackaged and reformulated hair ritual products, I decided the time has come to demystify hair mists once and for all.
Previously offered as one hair mist and one hair oil in a
Miss DIOR Parfum scent, this new chapter in DIOR’s Hair Ritual offering will see three hair mists and one hair oil in gorgeous new packaging and enriched with rose water for the hair mists and rose wax for the hair oil.
Best of all? Both the hair oil and hair mists will be alcohol-free.
What Does DIOR Hair Mist Do?

So what’s on offer, I hear you ask?
Let’s break it down, starting with the DIOR hair mists.
As per everything with DIOR, no detail has been left unconsidered and the external bottle is every bit as luxurious as you’d expect.
Now in bottles with a frosted finish, featuring the iconic DIOR houndstooth pattern on the side of the bottle and boasting a couture label - three colours are available to align with the new scents - purple for
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, orange for
Miss Dior Eau De Parfum and pink for
Miss Dior Parfum.
How much is DIOR hair mists? Each 30ml bottle is priced at $98.
DIOR Hair Mist Review.

Firstly a quick spotlight also on the The
Miss Dior Hair Oil. Similarly repackaged to align with the look and feel of the hair mists.
The recommended two-step process is to begin with the hair oil, applied to the ends of the hair to boost shine and give that sleek, nourished look.
Finish with a spritz of your preferred hair mist scent to lock in that feminine DIOR scent all day.
So that I did - picking day 3 post-wash to really see what heavy lifting this hair oil and hair mist combo could do.
As a gym girly (well - a three day-a-week gym girly, when it doesn’t interrupt my eight hours of sleep), sweat is inevitable so post-dry shampoo application to soak up that extra sebum, I set out to tame the frizz.
Two pumps of the DIOR hair perfume oil was sufficient to coax my hair ends into sleek submission and I must admit, the scent was a sensorial treat at 7:30am in the morning.

Whilst it retails at $100, a little does go a long way so you are investing in a product that should see you through a fair few months.
Hair styled, makeup applied and just before heading out the door I spritzed the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet to the crown and back of my hair.
Knowing the DIOR fragrances are not only iconic but impactful in their own right, I felt it best to test the DIOR hair mist without applying any other fragrance on that day.
So with that - off I went.
Final Verdict...

DIOR has always done a scent well - they’re long-lasting, flattering and clearly translatable as they venture into another beauty category.
The Blooming Bouquet scent stayed with me all day, and I did receive a compliment or two from colleagues asking what I was wearing and assuming it was a traditional fragrance rather than a hair mist.
To that end, whilst a splurge, the fact that a hair mist can clearly act as both a personal fragrance and a hair mist does help justify the $98 price point.
So overall, whilst I’m not sure I am convinced a hair mist is a must-have for me, certainly if you’re in the market for one or simply love DIOR, both the DIOR Hair Mist and DIOR Hair Oil are worth a try.
