I Tried the Summery New who is elijah Fragrance & Here Are My Thoughts

When our lovely fragrance buyer Liz sent me a message on our work chat recently saying there was a new who is elijah fragrance coming out, I was intrigued.
The convo went something like this:
Liz: “Have you received EAU from who is elijah yet??”
Me: "No, but do tell..."
Liz: “It’s real Diptyque Philosykos vibes. Like... lush creamy fig but like you've had to go deep into the tree to get it and have crushed up all the leaves on the way.”
Me: “You had me at 'fig' and 'crushed up leaves'. Is it more woody though?”
Liz: “It's more summery than smokey/woody.”

I'm already a who is elijah fan, and I particularly love the brand's NOMAD fragrance.
Mostly because every time I wear it, someone asks me if I’m wearing Baccarat Rouge 540.

who is elijah EAU EDP 100mL is the newest fragrance release, pronounced like “oh”.
The brand says EAU “will transport you to your favourite tropical destination, instantly.”
EAU’s hero notes are pear, green leaves, fig, coconut, woods and moss.
The full list of notes infused in EAU are:
- Head: Pear stem, green leaves, bergamot.
- Heart: Black fig, coconut milk, Italian iris.
- Base: Wood, tonka, moss, musk.

who is elijah EAU EDP 100mL has been described as a "feminine leaning fragrance with a masculine twist," and I’d have to agree.
This was the first tick for me, because the two best kind of fragrance ‘twists’ for me are masculine or woody-leaning ones.
But I have to be honest, when I first gave it a spritz on my wrist, the leafy notes came on a little strong.
Is it a little too leafy, I wondered?
But I needn't have worried, because after a few minutes, the potent leafy notes settled and I gave my wrist another sniff - so good!
Zesty! Earthy! Fresh! Peppery!
What’s great about EAU is you can really wear it all year around.
The woody, mossy and green leafy notes make it cozy enough and just as suited to winter, but the notes of pear and bergamot keep it fresh enough for summer.
It's also not your typical spring or summer fragrance, which is great for anyone who finds some summer fragrances too sweet.
