In Partnership With Skinceuticals
We’ve said it before, and we'll sing it from the rooftops a hundred times more: when it comes to science-backed and solutions-focused skincare, few brands come close to
SkinCeuticals.
If you’re thinking of adding a high-performance SkinCeuticals product to your cart but aren’t sure where to start, we’d begin with their powerhouse serums which are renowned for their high-flying, results-driven formulas.
In fact, the cult
SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic consistently ranks as one of our best-selling products year after year.
This proves skincare lovers are willing to spend or “skinvest” in these serums because they are actually seeing transformative results.
Like one AB staffer who told us she saw her fine lines visibly soften after using the HA intensifier!
Below, we've rounded up four of the best SkinCeuticals serums to suit every skin type and concern, with expert insights from SkinCeuticals Australia’s Head of Medical and Education, Dr Tanya Romano, on each.
Plus, personal first-person reviews from Adore Beauty staffers (read: some of the most seasoned road-testers in the biz) on their real results as well as why they are huge fans (and long-time users) of these powerhouse serums.
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Vitamin C Serum

Good for: age management and brighter, even complexion.
What Dr Romano says:
"An antioxidant providing protection against environmental aggressors containing vitamins C, E and ferulic acid which hydrate dry and mature skin.
Improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles whilst brightening the skin’s complexion."
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Vitamin C Serum review from Adore Beauty staffer and long-time user Mary:
"SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic is my holy grail.
It was the first thing I purchased with my staff discount when I started working at Adore almost 5 years ago and I haven’t stopped using it since.
When friends and family ask for recommendations this is on my list… and when people ask if I’d still buy it if I didn’t get my discount, it’s an emphatic YES!
I've been using it exclusively as my one AM serum for years, and for a tired 39 year-old mum of two rambunctious boys who still looks in their mid 30’s, I’d say it’s working a treat.
She's pricey, but she’s worth it.
You'll start to see results after about 2 weeks - my complexion was brighter, clearer and more even…and every time I get a bit busy/lazy with my routine and miss a few days, I notice the difference it gives to my overall glow.
If you’re looking for a one-stop-serum that covers off the major concerns - dullness, discolouration and early signs of ageing, then this is THE ONE."

SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic Acid Serum HA Intensifier Multi-Glycan

Good for: dry skins
What Dr Romano says:
"Perfect for giving the skin an instant boost of hydration whilst also promoting the skin to produce more of it’s own hyaluronic acid for sustained, long term hydration."
SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic Acid Serum HA Intensifier review from Adore Beauty staffer Jas:
"This is unlike any other HA I’ve used: thick, juicy, and not the usual clear liquid, but a purplish-brown tint and a gel-like consistency that feels instantly more luxe.
I’ve been using it both morning and night for almost four weeks, and I’m already nearing the end of the bottle.
One full dropper covers my face and neck, and while it feels slightly tacky on application, it sinks in quickly and layers beautifully under Vitamin C in the morning, Vitamin A at night, plus moisturiser and SPF – without a hint of pilling.
The results are twofold: my skin looks dewy and luminous straight away, but over time it feels plumper and more resilient, with no dryness or tightness (despite trialling it through winter).

On the tin, it claims to “boost hydration for 24 hours and increase the skin’s HA content by 30%.”
While I can’t confirm the exact percentage, I can say my skin has felt consistently well-hydrated, even at the end of the day.
What sets this apart is the formula. Alongside multi-molecular hyaluronic acid, it contains 10% Proxylane™, plus licorice root and purple rice extract. Translation: it doesn’t just hydrate, it helps boost your skin’s own HA levels and targets visible ageing linked to glycation (aka one of the sneaky processes behind skin ageing).
It is expensive, but for me, it’s worth it.
The texture, the immediate hydration, and the long-term benefits make this more of an investment in skin health and longevity rather than just another step in a routine."
SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum

Good for: busy mums, mature skins, age management, fine lines.
What Dr Romano says:
"Improves skin elasticity and hydration simultaneously to improve skin smoothness and reduce visible lines.
Contains wild fruit flavonoids that reduce oxidative stress and work against glycation in the skin."
SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum review from AB staffer (and busy mum) Katherine:
"The SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Serum is an advanced anti-ageing treatment designed to target the visible signs of aging caused by a process called glycation, which can lead to a loss of firmness, wrinkles, and thinning skin. It’s a rich, velvety formula that helps restore hydration, improve elasticity, and smooth fine lines.
It's is packed with some seriously effective ingredients that work together to target visible signs of ageing like:
Proxylane™ - helps to support skin’s firmness and elasticity.
Blueberry extract - a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect against free-radical damage.
Phytosphingosine - helps to strengthen the skin barrier, keeping it resilient and better able to hold onto hydration.
Together, these ingredients not only smooth and plump the look of fine lines and wrinkles but also give skin that healthy, supple feel that makes a noticeable difference day to day.
So when your Senior Beauty Editor asks you to do a road test - you say yes!
After using the SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra serum for the last four weeks, I have noticed some slight changes to my skin.
The first thing I noticed was how much hydration it gave back to my skin—it feels plump, comfortable, and just healthier overall.
Hydration is key for me, my skin can feel very dry on a daily basis and therefore dull so this has been such a wonderful addition to my routine.
What really surprised me, though, was the difference around my eye area. My fine lines and wrinkles there look softer and less noticeable:

A little goes a long way with this serum which is great and it settled well into my skin especially on days I was wearing make up.
I’ve slotted it into my routine easily, and I love that it works with what I already use.
In the morning, I apply it straight after my vitamin C serum and before moisturiser and SPF—it layers beautifully and never feels heavy.
At night, I use it after my retinol or other nighttime serums and I’ve found it helps keep my skin balanced, calm, and hydrated.
Today, my skin looks glowing:

It feels so nourishing while also targeting the signs of ageing I want to stay on top of (aren't we all!).
I'm keen to continue to use it on a daily basis in the hope of reducing even more of those pesky fine lines!"
SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel
Good for: those who experience redness, irritation etc.
What Dr Roman says:
"Calming anti-redness botanical serum that soothes and brightens skin. Contains extracts that reduce dark spots and hydrate even the most sensitive skin types."
SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel review from AB staffer Liz:
"I am constantly searching for the latest-and-greatest innovation that will help with the inflammation, redness and quite frankly frustrating-as-heck signs of the rosacea, redness and sensitivity that has plagued me since my pre-teens.
The reality of this frustrating skin condition is that nothing topical will ever cure me (no matter how many lotions and potions I apply!) but what I've learnt is that having reliable products that will soothe and hydrate without further exacerbating redness is so much better for me than switching and changing on a whim.
To that end, I can't give you a before-and-after from the last 4 weeks of use - because in reality, I can't actually remember the last time I DIDN'T use SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel.
I reckon I might be on my 6th or 7th bottle!
I use this most mornings and evenings to keep my redness at bay, but why I REALLY love it is what you'll see in these images - I'd had a flare up and needed help, stat!
I keep a bottle in my fridge and there's precisely 23 minutes between the before (Ouch! Boo! Hiss!) and after (Cool! Calm! Collected!) here - it really does work that quickly - almost instantly providing a cooled, soothing effect:
Here they are with time stamps:

And a close up:

On top of this, I'm still prone to hormonal breakouts, so I love that this helps to brighten dark spots and I find it an excellent everyday hydrator that never irritates my sensitive skin."
