Naturally, I was beyond excited to dive into my first Adore Beauty staff order (and, of course, the Tim Tam too)!
It’s been almost three months since I placed my order, so here are my honest thoughts on the products I couldn't wait to add to cart and their performance.
BOOST LAB 2D-Hyaluronic Hydro Boost Serum.
I hadn’t tried BOOST LAB before, but I’ve always been curious especially because their range is more on the 'affordable serums' side of the spectrum.
I desperately needed a new hyaluronic acid serum, and at this price, it was impossible to resist!
The serum has a lightweight, silky texture that absorbs effortlessly, hydrates, and balances my oily-combination skin.
It layers perfectly with all my existing skincare and makeup, never pilling.
I’m almost running out and will absolutely repurchase—this serum is officially a staple in my routine!
Huda Beauty #Fauxfilter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer.
What: Huda Beauty #Fauxfilter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer in shade 'Toasted Almond.'
I had very high hopes for this concealer.
As a long-time Huda Beauty makeup fan, I’ve used her products since she launched in Australia in 2016—the golden era of full-glam makeup (I still love full-glam). And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
If you’ve tried Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Liquid Foundation, the concealer delivers a similarly flawless matte finish.
However, it has a lighter texture and formula, which is perfect as my undereye area can’t handle thick concealers.
I pair my #Fauxfilter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer in Toasted Almond with my Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder (alternating between Cherry Blossom Cake or Banana Bread depending on my makeup vibe), and it stays flawless all day and night.
Murad Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment.
Murad is another brand I’ve purchased from before.
My younger sister swears by the Murad Age Reform AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 200ml , which is super gentle and leaves her skin feeling incredibly smooth. But that’s not what you came here for!
Murad makes it easy to shop with ranges tailored to different skin types, and the blue range is specifically for oily, breakout-prone skin.
I tend to break out more and experience congestion during summer because my skin sweats more and produces extra oil.
Silly me thought I had purchased the Murad Outsmart Blemish Treatment 50ml (a favourite I’ve used before), but I accidentally ordered the Murad Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment instead.
However, I’m not mad—it works just as well!
The maximum-strength clearing gel visibly reduces blemishes dramatically overnight.
L'Occitane Shea Butter Body Lotion.
