I’ll be honest, the second most important thing about my wedding day (the first being marrying my husband of course), was how my skin would look on the day.
As someone who
works in beauty, I knew that the lead up to the wedding would be super important for my skincare routine.
The entire process began by testing out a bunch of different products I had at home, including serums, face masks and moisturisers, and that's how I discovered my holy grail.
I actually discovered the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating serum through its counterpart the
Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Face Mask 5pk.
This mask is infused with three weeks worth of the powerful serum and after my first try I was hooked, so I knew I had to invest in the serum to add it into my bridal skincare routine.

What Is the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum?

Fast facts:
A radiance-boosting serum that helps deliver supple, glass like skin with a beautiful, luminous glow.
Is powered by the
Sulwhasoo MASTER COMPLEX™ - a proprietary technical substance that spreads evenly across the skin and dissolves quickly to hydrate, nourish and firm.
Contains ginseng - a potent anti-ageing ingredient that has been researched for years by the brand for its skin benefits.
Its scientifically-proven formula is suitable for all skin types.
Use it as the ‘First step’ in your skin routine and prepare skin to better absorb subsequent skincare products.
Also hydrates, nourishes and firms the skin.
Improves skin turnover, maintaining a healthy skin outer layer.
My Wedding Skin Prep And Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum Review.

In the three months leading up to my wedding, I used this serum every night as the first serum in my routine.
I absolutely loved it as I saw results pretty much straight away, and it just kept getting better and better.
There's just something about how my skin looks in the morning after using this serum...
My skin looks smooth and texture-free and my makeup would sit perfectly the next day. I also love how quick the serum melts into my face, it dries almost instantly!
I was lucky enough to accompany my at-home skincare routine with
clinic treatments every 6-8 weeks too.
I also used the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating mask once a week in the lead up.
Waking up in the morning after using the sheet mask, was like I had dumped the entire bottle of serum on my face and just WOW.
The night before my wedding, I did one last sheet mask and prayed I didn't wake up with any random spots in the morning.
It worked, my skin was GLOWING, my makeup artist was even kind enough to compliment me on my glowy skin too *blushing*!!!
Overall, I was so happy with how my skin turned out on the day of my wedding.
My makeup sat perfectly and lasted all day. I also had a spray tan the day before and the tan didnt sit funny on my face.

Finally…
Weddings can be EXPENSIVE, let alone all the prep that goes into it too. If you're not wanting to splurge on clinic treatments, I'd highly recommend looking into a quality skincare routine that focuses on hydration.
I couldn't recommend the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating serum and mask more to start prepping your skin for the big day!
