Glistening limbs, smoothed texture, supple well-hydrated elbows. Ah! A Beauty Editors version of dirty talk.
With faint whispers of warmer weather ahead, body care (and shorter hemlines) are on my mind. Timed perfectly, these glossy new body launches have me genuinely giddy.
Beyond offering a pleasant scent (though that always helps), these newbies are smart, scientific and boast a stacked ingredient list.
With piqued interest, here's the body cate products on the top of my wish list.
Alpha-H Firming Peptide Body Oil with Hexapeptide-8

Alpha H's foray into body care late last year was perhaps one of my 2024 beauty highlights. A year on, and I'm still gagging over their
Retinol Reboot Body Treatment. If you haven't tried it yet, it's incredible for resurfacing and improving skin texture.
So naturally, their latest launch is on my radar.
A lightweight dry oil (meaning it absorbs quickly and dries to a satin-y finish ), the formula heroes a Hexapeptide-8 complex to target the visible signs of ageing. Think things like tech neck (my personal biggest fear), fine lines, crepiness and sun damage.
Infused with Omega-rich Macadamia and Microalgae Oils, the formula supports collagen production and improves elasticity. Early reports are praising it's non-greasy, supple finish and applauding it's firming power.
Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Sculptor

Cosmeceutical Skincare brands make the best body care products. I said what I said.
Much like their approach to skin, Dermalogica's body care harness a myriad of high-powered actives to effectively target skin gripes.
Their newness, Dynamic Skin Sculptor, is designed to support skin that’s undergoing transformation and help it bounce back with tone, smoothness and renewed energy. It's formulated with an advanced Pro-NAD+ Complex which boosts visible firmness, a Microalgae blend to lift and tighten and a Honey Locust Tree Extract to smooth.
Ideal for post-weight loss, postpartum or mature skin, the glossy serum helps visibly sculpt and revitalise areas needing extra care. Dermalogica have reported findings of consumer perception "90% experienced immediate tightening after 1 use*" based on an internal study.
Sodashi Vitamin Rich Body Oil

Mere murmurs of the phrase 'Vitamin Rich' have me reaching for my credit card.
The term Vitamin-rich here also equates to antioxidant-rich too with a trio of cold-pressed plant oils; Macadamia, Hazelnut and Jojoba. Macadamia oil works as a natural anti-inflammatory, ideal for dry or scar-prone skin. Hazelnut improves tone and elasticity, while jojoba (a body care favourite for a reason) brings antibacterial and soothing benefits.
Rooted in rituals (the brand even suggest using this as a soothing bath oil), daily use promises hydration (in spades), improved elasticity and smoother, supple texture.
If stretch marks are part of your landscape (as they are for most of us), this helps soften them with consistent use.
We Are Feel Good Inc. Kakadu Plum Body Milk

Okay so not necessarily a newbie, but a new-to-Adore. We've just launched
the Aussie SPF brand on site.
Specialising in broad spectrum UV protection and barely-there formulations, their skincare offering sees an array of plush body milks. There’s three iterations of the milky formula; ‘Tropical’, ‘Kakadu Plum’ and 'Coco'.
No surprises here, 'Kakadu Plum' has taken my fancy. I love the Australian-native ingredient. It's rich in antioxidants and known to have a higher Vitamin C dosage than other fruits. Meaning? It will get you glowing, quick.
The formula is further enriched Niacinamide (great for treating pigmentation) and nourishers like Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.
Silky and sheer, this formula adds an extra layer of hydration and softens things nicely.
mesoestetic bodyshock firm'up

Again, Cosmeceutical skincare brands are where it's at. I'm telling you.
This particular launch is all about firming and boosting elasticity. The brand goes as far as suggesting there's a 'push-up effect'?! Colour me intrigued...
The impressive ingredient list certainly suggests as much. It's enriched with the firmactive complex™ (which includes caffeine and L-carnitine encapsulated in liposomes) and Kigelia extract, to support the skin's structural elements for a more toned and tightened appearance.
On top of that, a molecular film of amino acids and proteins moisturise skin for an immediate tightening effect.
And what's more - the lavish cream (rich in consistency) is sold with a bonus cooling massage roller to instantly depuff and promote increased absorption of the product. Seems like great value against spend, to me.
Time to firm up!
