The Liberty Belle Rx Morning Skincare Routine My Blemish-Prone Skin Is Loving

When I was younger, I was lucky enough to have fairly clear skin.
Through all the trials and tribulations of being a teenager, I was spared the acne that is common to experience when you’re in high school.
Fun fact though, now as a 27-year-old I deal with fairly blemish-prone skin. And not just the occasional spot, but the fairly consistent acne around the chin and jaw that hurts.
If you know, you know.
And while it does definitely get me down - I’m nothing if not transparent - it’s forced me to get really comfy in my own skin, which is a blessing in itself.
You might be wondering why I’m even telling you this - but I promise there’s a point.
Around two months ago I was treated to a session with the gorgeous Marnie at the Liberty Belle clinic in Melbourne.
I was having a particularly horrid skin day, so I was incredibly keen to get their opinion on what I could do to improve my complexion, regardless of the spots that would inevitably pop up.
So, after getting up close and personal with my skin, Marnie built me my very own Liberty Belle Rx skincare routine tailored to my oily, blemish-prone skin.
And I’ve been using this routine ever since, I’ve loved it that much.
I think the biggest change I saw in my skin after using this regime was a reduction in redness, alongside a large increase in the general condition of my skin, so when a spot did pop up, it was easy to handle.
What Is Liberty Belle Rx?
Before we get into the routine, let’s get into the Liberty Belle Rx range.
Aside from having some of the best product names I’ve genuinely ever heard, Liberty Belle Rx is an active skincare range created by Plastic Surgeon Dr Chris Moss.
Clinical results and trials are behind every product, with products “Designed to work synergistically with the skin’s own natural repair mechanisms, to enhance skin cell renewal, support skin barrier function and optimise skin health.”
A fun fact I love is that every bottle has a pump to ensure it’s as sterile as possible - no jars or tubs to be seen.
Now onto the routine.
My Liberty Belle Rx Routine.
1. Liberty Belle Rx BROMANCE Cleanser.
First up, we have a cleanser.
While the BROMANCE cleansers are technically a 3-in-1, I only used the gel on my face as I’ve got a fully separate routine for my hair that has been years in the making.
It has a gorgeous, pearlescent colour and the fresh tea scent is gentle as the formula actually includes green tea extracts.
I found that a little goes a long way for this product so half a pump was enough for me to cleanse my face and neck.
2. Liberty Belle Rx EYE DO® Peptide Wrinkle Defence Eye Gel.
Next up, we have an eye cream, and I’m going to make a big call here - EYE DO is my favourite product of the bunch.
I know, a big call, but I stand by it.
I’ve tried eye cream after eye cream and never found one that really worked for me in a way that made me want to keep using it.
I don’t suffer from hereditary dark circles but I am known for being a night owl, so what I was looking for was plump, bright skin around my eyes.
And boy did this gel deliver for me.
It’s a gorgeous light gel that sinks into the skin quickly - and I experienced no milia-like bumps that I’ve previously experienced when eye creams are too heavy.
If you’re looking to invest in an eye cream, I’d definitely recommend this one.
3. Liberty Rx GLAM SQUAD® Hydrating & Brightening Serum.
Now we have a non-negotiable in almost any skincare routine - hyaluronic acid.
This formula is blended with niacinamide and panthenol to really boost the glow. We love.
This is super light and I never experienced any pilling or problems layering this with the other products in my routine, which is an added bonus.
4. Liberty Belle Rx GAME CHANGER® Pore Refining & Mattifying Gel.
Next up we have something very focused on my skin type - something to control the oil.
I want to state before I get into this product - if EYE DO is my fave product of this bunch, GAME CHANGER is a close second.
And it’s full pun intended - this was a game-changer for me.
I would use this every morning as the last step before my moisturiser and let me tell you, I could apply this to my face every day for how much I love the gentle, fresh scent.
Aside from the scent though, this gel is mattifying and works to clarify and refine the complexion. And, in my opinion, that it does.
Just as I experienced with the serum, I had no pilling and it played really well with everything else in my routine.
5. Liberty Belle Rx POWER BROKER® Anti-Red Wrinkle Defence Cream.
Lastly, we have a moisturiser.
POWER BROKER is a calming and gentle moisturiser that aims to soothe skin while protecting the skin’s moisture barrier.
It’s packed full of goodies - glycoprotein and squalane to name a couple - and my skin adored it.
Final Thoughts.
Now with all of the above being said, it’s important to say that all skin is different and requires its own judgement. What works for Susie might not work for Sally.
With that said, I’ve loved this routine so much that I’m almost empty of all of the products.
And for a beauty marketing girlie to have empties, it means something.
