In Partnership with Mesoestetic.
Can we get a little hype for Mesoestetic, please?
As a Dermal Therapist, they slay the aesthetic game in-clinic so we need to get you all across these cosmeceutical products stat.
Now I’m sure we’ve all heard about their sunscreens, which when they were released became cult favourites.
However, there are a bunch of new products that have recently been added to their line, and these cater specifically to age management and firming concerns as well as brighter complexions using patented formulas ([meso]epigen system™) that act on the epigenetic markers that are responsible for ageing skin.
Now stay with me because the ranges can also help streamline routines. So it’s not super confusing no matter what you are specifically trying to treat.
Which is great, because people have no time. And while the products do tend to take on a semi-medical looking vibe, the unique data behind them is designed to help keep skin healthy and in turn fight premature signs of ageing.
The age element range also contains a few underground ingredients such as:
  • Shikimic acid, which helps preserve youthful-looking skin;
  • Maslinic acid, which helps to increase the production of hyaluronic acid, elastin, proteoglycans and helps enhance the skin's hydration and, firmness; and
  • Isoquercetin, which provides a potent antioxidant action - obviously helping to protect the skin from free radical damage.
Sound intriguing?
Let’s go through some of the products below - but first, my main skin concerns are pigmentation and age management so the products I tried are predominantly designed to treat that…

1. Mesoestetic Age Element Anti-Wrinkle Lip and Contour.

So this is very bougie, but hear me out because the lips are always neglected.
It is one of the areas of my face that I needle constantly, and if they are not hydrated they can get crusty.
Obviously, this balm has skin-focused hydrators like sodium hyaluronate, but it also contains ingredients to naturally plump the area like sinalbin and their patented [meso]epigen system™, which is found throughout this entire range, and helps the skin from an age management perspective.
The tip applicator also gives off a cool feeling and is so easy to apply.
Obviously not a need but a nice want if the fine lines around your lip area are a concern.

2. Mesoestetic Age Element Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate.

Now this serum is super lightweight and would be best for people who want to target age-management concerns both AM and PM but struggle using a vitamin A.
Obviously, if you are using a vitamin A you can also combine it with this, but it is a serum full of peptides and bakuchiol that are gentle but still effective, and designed to keep skin looking healthy and plump.
This would also be a great option for sensitive skin and during pregnancy!

3. Mesoestetic Age Element Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream.

The night cream is my favourite because it’s super rich and creamy and, again, full of those collagen-stimulating peptides alongside bakuchiol and hydrators, so it is very easy to use every single night.
(Or even the day if you like if you prefer a richer cream. There are no actives in this that would make this a complete no-go for the day - just putting it out there.)

4. Mesoestetic Age Element Brightening Eye Contour.

For an eye cream, this is relatively cheap.
The metal applicator instantly feels depuffing and is fun to use post a bad night with the kids.
However, as it’s formulated with vitamin C (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate which has proven collagen-boosting benefits and the ability to promote hydration in the skin), alongside ingredients to support the skin barrier, it is both designed to brighten (over time as per any eye cream) and plump.
Also good for hydrating pre-concealer, too.

5. Mesoestetic Age Element Brightening Cream and Mesoestetic Age Element Brightening Concentrate.

Now I would use this brightening cream and concentrate together to help even out the skin tone, as they are designed to be.
They both contain vitamin C (ethyl-ascorbic acid), a whole bunch of antioxidants, and peptides alongside niacinamide so they are like you’re all in one.
I did try to mix and match these in the AM with different brands and it was irritating - obviously do not do as I do.
Just use them together as they are both quite active. You have been warned.
