A Makeup Artist Reviews DIOR’s Multi-Wrinkle Corrector For Smoother, Plumper Skin

As the years go on, our face begins to show evidence of countless smiles, a few frowns and maybe some of the years where we decided that SPF would be treated like a side piece instead of the main character that it should always be!
Whilst we know that wrinkles are an inevitable part of a life well lived, we are also big advocates of maintaining skin health and within this, many of our fave skincare ingredients offer age management benefits.
As I’m entering my 30s, I have started incorporating age management into my skincare goals and as a makeup artist, I am constantly glamming clients with the same concerns.
With all this floating around, when I heard that DIOR had released a new wrinkle corrector that aimed to aid the appearance of both present and emerging signs of wrinkles, I knew I had to try it!
What Is The DIOR Capture Totale Hyalushot Wrinkle Corrector?

How Does The DIOR Capture Totale Hyalushot Wrinkle Corrector Work?
DIOR science has shown that as our skin ages, it starts to lose anchoring proteins, which can lead to the loss of hyaluronic acid in the skin.
To combat this, the Capture Totale Hylaushot Corrector works to deliver three actions via three key ingredients:
1. Patented hyaluronic acid duo.
The Capture Totale Hyalushot formula combines two hyaluronic acids of high and low molecular weight. With this ultra-high concentration, the skin can experience an immediate ‘plumping’ effect from being topically hydrated because we know that happy skin = hydrated skin.
2. A peptide selected for its smoothing effect.
We know that some rhytids (wrinkles) are caused by muscular contractions, so to compliment the immediate hydration that the hyaluronic acid offers, it also has peptides within its formula that keep skin feeling smooth when routinely applied.
3. A regenerating extract of Longoza.
Last but not least, this clever formulation contains fermented Longoza Extract from the DIOR garden in Madagascar, which contains an age-defying combination of 85 anti-ageing molecules and can target the epidermal layer, promoting skin revitalisation.
My DIOR Capture Totale Hyalushot Review.
When using this within my routine I like to apply it after cleansing/serums but before moisturiser.
The packaging is sleek and looks fabulous, so if you want to display it on a bathroom vanity, I’d say go for it.
This solution is SUPER easy to use and it’s important to note that a little bit goes a long way.
As the main areas of age management I’m personally looking to treat are around my eyes and in between my brow, I only use about half a pea-sized amount of product and find that it disperses perfectly.
If you were looking to apply the Capture Totale Hyalyshot to the eight main areas of concern, then I would recommend using a pea-sized amount.
The consistency of this solution is quite thin and applies extremely well when gently massaged in with clean fingertips.
Immediately after applying the Capture Totale Hyalushot, you may feel a slight warmth to the skin, followed by a gentle tightening effect (this is the peptides doing their thing!).
I cannot believe it but my skin genuinely appeared fuller, more hydrated and plumped after application with makeup gliding on effortlessly.
As I’ve only been using the Capture Totale Hyalushot for around three weeks, I can’t speak to long-term effects.
However, I can vouch for the fact that my areas of concern have absolutely appeared more plump and hydrated, and the visibility of static lines (especially in between my forehead) has definitely improved after using this solution.
Now that I’ve used myself as a guinea pig, I am SUPER keen to start using this as a spot treatment for my makeup clients that are needing some extra hydration/have age management as a key skin concern.
I absolutely love how sleek the packaging is and the tubed packaging makes the application super hygienic.
There is a light scent but it is soft and refreshing and disappears as soon as it’s on the skin.
Final Verdict.
This is a product that is definitely on my “certified” skincare list!
From my experience, it delivers exactly what it promises and is a super innovative product for anyone who is looking for a targeted treatment that addresses the main concerns of age management.
Whilst I do love this product, the only possible downfall is that it is on the bougie end of the pricing scale.
That said, the fact that you not only see long-term results but can also feel and see the effects instantly is something that puts this solution above competing products on the market.
