If you’re a skincare junkie on the hunt for science-backed results,
SkinCeuticals is a brand you can rely on.
Their targeted formulas, packed with active ingredients and clinicals are favourites among beauty journalists and industry alike - but as they continue releasing more and more products it can often feel hard trying to navigate their range and what everything does - which is why I’m here.
As a Dermal Therapist, let me guide you on how to mix and match their best moisturisers with their serums to target your skin concerns.
Whether age management is what you’re tackling, dryness, dehydration or even if you’re craving firmer, brighter skin, this is how I would couple their serums and moisturisers to get the most out of them this winter.
The Best SkinCeuticals Moisturiser & Serum Combinations.
Dryness, Dehydration and Age Management.

SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier is another great product for dry and ageing skin thanks to its triple threat of hyaluronic acid, proxylane, and botanical extracts.
The hyaluronic acid directly plumps and hydrates, while proxylane boosts the skin's own hyaluronic acid production.
And it contains licorice root and purple rice extracts which also work together to preserve the skin's natural hyaluronic acid levels - a hydration powerhouse in a serum for anyone that needs it!
This moisturiser seriously packs a punch for dry skin and anyone with age management concerns.
The ingredients are designed to mimic your skin's natural lipid barrier with a precise 3:2:1 ratio of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids.
It will rebalance lost moisture, plump wrinkles, and improve overall texture. Also, thick and super rich for anyone that needs/loves a moisturiser like that.
Age Management and Firming.

SkinCeuticals retinols are excellent for ageing skin because they are potent.
Fair warning though: Start slow.
Pure retinol accelerates skin cell turnover, minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Additionally, it will stimulate collagen production, leading to firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
There are different strengths of this serum, so be wary.
Going too hard too fast will get you nowhere. So start at the 0.3% and work your way up.
SkinCeuticals AGE Interrupter Advanced is a powerful option for ageing skin because it tackles a major contributor to wrinkles: glycation.
It features a high concentration of proxylane, which stimulates collagen production, and a wild fruit flavonoid blend that fights free radicals and prevents further damage.
Those ingredients, along with hydrating components, helps improve firmness and tackle age management concerns - highly recommend combining with a retinoid!
Pigmentation and Brightening.

What:
Of course we couldn’t leave this without mentioning the beloved OG, SkinCeuticals vitamin Cs.
Phloretin CF tackles pigmentation with a powerful antioxidant trio. First, 10% L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) directly inhibits melanin production, a key culprit in hyperpigmentation, whilst phloretin, a plant extract, works with vitamin C to enhance its brightening effects.
Hence why this antioxidant serum can pack a punch at evening out your skin tone.
C E Ferulic on the other hand, while not exclusively designed for pigmentation, can offer brightening benefits due to its key ingredients.
The high concentration of vitamin C (L-ascorbic 15%) can help inhibit melanin production, alongside the ferulic acid which can enhance the stability and effectiveness of the vitamin C all while offering its own antioxidant properties to combat free radical damage that can worsen pigmentation.
Ok so the SkinCeuticals Metacell Renewal B3 Emulsion is lighter than a moisturiser and thicker than a serum, but it is neither.
It is a face emulsion.
Oily/combo skins can probably use this alone as their last step after cleansing, however if you are on the drier side, you can pop an extra moisturiser on top.
It’s a beautiful product! And is designed to gently brighten the skin for anyone with pigmentation and brightening skin concerns.
It contains a high 5% concentration of niacinamide, which can help tackle hyperpigmentation by regulating melanin production and is further boosted by a Tri-peptide complex that stimulates cell turnover, encouraging the removal of existing pigmentation and promoting a brighter, more even skin tone - but it is soooooo gentle.
This would be great through pregnancy too.
