In Partnership With Beauté Pacifique
Ever heard of Beauté Pacifique?
It’s the cult-favourite Danish skincare brand that has been a secret weapon of
beauty editors, models and dermal therapists for
years.
Beauté Pacifique is one of those brands that is often recommended in group chats and one-on-one consults. But for whatever reason, it rarely gets its moment in the sun.
But there are no secrets around here. Not on our watch.
We’re making sure this no-frills, all results brand makes it out of the group chat and into public knowledge. Why? It does what it says on the label. And then some. Without irritating sensitive skin.
Here’s everything you need to know about Denmark’s soon to be worst kept secret Beauté Pacifique.
Your Beauté Pacifique Cheat Sheet

Founded in Denmark in 1997 by Flemming K. Christensen, Beauté Pacifique began with just one product: Crème Métamorphique. Described as an “anti-wrinkle cream”, this patented formula is still available today and contains two forms of vitamin A to help prevent or smooth wrinkles and rewind sun damage.
Fast forward to now and Beauté Pacifique now contains a stable of 50+ products sold (and loved) worldwide, including right here at
Adore Beauty.
While there are many different products to choose from, depending on your skin type and needs, all products are united by three key philosophies: enhancing skin barrier function, minimising sun damage and replenishing moisture levels.
My Beauté Pacifique Routine
When it comes to skincare, nothing compares to a first-hand product rec from someone who has used it. And I am so happy to put my skin on the line for this one!
I usually find it hard to be loyal to just one skincare brand. There’s so many great products out there that I find myself always being distracted by new launches – call it “shiny new thing” syndrome, if you will.
However, Beauté Pacifique is one brand that I will come back to time and time again. The products are reliable, do what they promise, and are well tolerated by my sensitive skin.
Morning Skincare Routine

What it promises:
Thanks to key ingredients including caffeine and camomile, this under-eye cream promises to counteract any puffiness, soothe redness and target fine lines.
Review:
I have a 9 month old son who is absolutely perfect, super cute and allergic to sleeping through the night.
Unfortunately, I can’t buy eight hours of uninterrupted sleep… but what I can buy for less than $100 is Beauté Pacifique Puffy Eyes Gel.
From the moment I apply the cream, I can feel it working and the results are visible within a few minutes. It really does depuff the under-eye area, making me look far more awake than I really am.
My only tip? Just don’t go too overboard with the application and get it in your eyes because it does sting.

What it promises:
An anti-ageing booster to improve skin tone and texture without over complicating your routine, thanks to key active ingredients procyanidin and resveratrol.
Review:
Until recently, this was one Beauté Pacifique product that had escaped my attention. However, I have started using it in the AM and I think I’m… in love?
My skin is on the dry side, especially in winter and this stuff primes my skin like no other. For a serum, it has a consistency that could almost pass a light oil, while still sinking into skin.
However, this serum’s active ingredients mean it has more anti-ageing benefits than a straight-up oil or traditional primer ever could.
If you have dry skin, you’ve gotta try this serum, oil and primer in one. Trust me.

What it promises:
Suitable for all skin types, this day cream helps to reduce redness, soften skin and protect from environmental aggressors, thanks to powerful antioxidant procyanidin.
Review:
In one word, I would describe this cream as lovely.
I use it on days where I am not planning on wearing a lot of makeup and don’t need to apply my now-beloved Submersive Serum Paradoxe as a primer.
Use this if you feel your skin needs a bit of extra love and don’t want to leave all your anti-ageing products till the evening.
Evening Skincare Routine

What it promises:
A hydrating foaming cleanser that balances without stripping the skin. Bonus: the rich lather also means it’s suitable for blokes that shave.
Review:
Personally, I don’t usually do a proper cleanse of my skin in the morning – I figure it’s still good from the night before and a splash of water will do the trick.
In the evening, however, I take my cleansing seriously. But that said, I never want my face to be “squeaky clean” which is usually an indicator that you’ve overdone it and stripped your complexion of its natural oils and balance.
Beauté Pacifique Cleansing Foam is just right. It cleanses without stripping and foams up like it’s nobody's business. Leftover makeup doesn’t stand a chance.

What it promises:
This serum contains a bit of everything (think: squalane, glycerin, collagen, hyaluronic acid, peach fruit extract and two types of retinol) and helps to reduce redness, improve skin texture, and protect against environmental aggressors.
Review:
Did you know that this serum sold out at Adore
the first time we wrote about it?
If there’s one product you try from the Beauté Pacifique range, make it this.
Defy Damage Skin Repair Serum contains a bit of everything and somehow, it manages to do a bit of everything. Most people who use it report a visible difference in their skin after a few weeks.
Why is it so good? Defy Damage contains vitamin A to have anti-ageing effects but is gentle enough for sensitive or redness-prone skin. Plus, at $80 it’s one of the more affordable products in the range.
I alternate between using Defy Damage and Symphonique Hyaluronic Serum (more on the latter in a moment) depending on whether I plan to layer on a retinol-based night cream (Defy Damage is enough on its own).

What it promises:
A lightweight serum that contains multiple forms of hyaluronic acid for all day hydration. It contains a mild exfoliant to boost the penetration of active ingredients and gives good glow.
Review:
This lovely hydrating serum gives skin a beautiful silky smooth feeling. Lately, I’ve been using it in the evening but you could use it any time of day for a quick hit of moisture.

What it promises:
Beauté Pacifique Créme Paradoxe Night Cream claims to put ageing on hold, thanks to its rich formula that contains two stable forms of vitamin A, squalane, and other ingredients to reduce irritation.
Review:
In my books, night creams should be ultra-nourishing but never greasy – and this formula is just that.
I’m someone who can be sensitive to retinols, but I’ve never experienced any irritation after using this product.
Given that I’m a 30-something, I need a good retinol in my weekly skincare routine and I love this one because I can use it regularly without worrying that I’m going to overdo it, damage my skin barrier and upset my skin.
Paradoxe Night Cream has made a noticeable difference to my skin and if any of my friends are reading this, you’ll have to buy your own because I’m not sharing.

Weekly At-home Skin Treatments

What it promises:
This cream-based hydrating mask has been formulated to help restore tired, rough skin in 10 minutes flat.
Review:
Now for the heavy hitter: Beauté Pacifique’s cult-favourite weekly mask.
If you want, you can wear this mask overnight to double down on benefits, but I find that it makes a marked difference if I apply it 5-10 minutes before getting in the shower.
In just a few minutes, it hydrates skin like no other and is the perfect companion to a long, cold winter (Melbournites, we’re looking at you).

What it promises:
An exfoliating scrub that buffs away dead skin cells with added olive fruit oil for hydration.
Review:
If you like the satisfying feeling of exfoliating with a facial scrub, this is one that you can use without the risk of stripping your skin of its natural oils – unlike some of the harsh supermarket scrubs of the '90s that shall not be named.
