Aesthetics Rx B Serum
Why we love it: "I'm a little bit of novice when it comes to Vitamin B. I'm religious with Vitamin C (I incorporate it twice daily!) and have a strict Retinol routine down pat, but my beloved B's? Well, let's just say they haven't been getting the love and attention they perhaps deserve in my routine.
Over the years, I've tested a few Vit B's (mostly Niacinamides) and have enjoyed the calming benefits and improved skin texture but always find myself getting deterred from long term use. The deterrer? Pilling.
There's something about the way I apply my Vitamin B, either the layering or more-likely the overapplying, that just doesn't sit well under makeup. This Aesthetics RX B however, applies and layers a treat.
The supercharged formula includes two forms of Vitamin B - Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Panthenol (Vitamin B5).
Think of Niacinamide as an all-rounder. It brightens dullness, smooths out uneven texture, and helps to strengthen the skin’s barrier against irritation and environmental stress. It's also great for tackling congestion and blemish-prone skin.
The other Vitamin B, Panthenol, I'd liken as the Hydralyte of skincare. It's a humectant (which draws moisture in) to replenish, soothe, and calms both redness and dryness with ease. My skin type is rosacea-prone, so the reducing of redness has been a godsend (and something I've visibly noticed on skin).
The formula is further bolstered with Hylauronic acid to hydrate and plump skin.
