Can I let you in on a little secret? I spend far too much time thinking about my eyebrows.
Everyone’s got their thing, right? Nobby knees, backne, a bigger second toe…
For me, it’s those random patches of skin above our eyes that grow more hair than anywhere else on our faces—what’s that all about, anyway??
If I’m being really honest it’s all of the above too, but back to brows.
Eyebrows have a way of making or breaking a look, and figuring out how to get them just right is an art form.
While they don’t need to be identical twins, having brows that resemble sisters rather than distant cousins can make your face feel more put together.
Take it from someone who once took a razor (yes, the shaving leg kind) to her naturally thick, bushy teenage brows and has spent a lifetime trying to reunite them.
If it weren't for brands like
NYX, they might still be estranged.
The
NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil has been a staple in my kit for at least
eight years. Its precise tip is perfect for creating natural, hair-like strokes. Lately, I’ve been loving
The Brow Glue too.
NYX recently added two new exciting products to their "
School of Brows": a powder pencil and a tinted version of their iconic glue.
Whether you like your brows full and fluffy, defined and filled, or sleek and laminated, you can "graduate from brow struggles" with NYX with products and a routine tailored to you.
NYX offers a ton of tutorials on their
YouTube channel for visual learners, too!

NYX Professional Makeup Powder Louder Brow Pencil.
Fast facts:
Dual-ended design: Pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other.
Long-wearing formula promising up to 12 hours of smudge-free wear.
Features a creamy, fibre-infused formula that helps create voluminous brows.
Rich in pigment, making it easy to shape and fill in brows for a natural, fuller look.
Available in nine different shades to cater to a variety of hair colours and preferences.
My NYX Professional Makeup Powder Louder Brow Pencil review:

Before we go any further, you should know I take spoolies very seriously. Sure, the brow pencil matters, but without a good spoolie, what’s the point?
They’re my emotional support beauty product (don’t knock it ‘till you try it), holding my life together, one hair at a time. A good spoolie could be the difference between a perfectly diffused, natural-looking brow, and a painted-on, blocked-out brow à la 2017.
So, how did the NYX Powder Louder measure up to my high spoolie standards?
Fantastic, thanks for asking! It ticks all my boxes, plus an extra one: a petite design that allows for more precise application.
The pencil itself is impressive too!
I didn’t think anything could replace my beloved micro pencil, but the Powder Louder is fast and easy to use.
It's super pigmented, so a little goes a lonnnnggggg way.
I follow the shape of my lower brow line, then use the spoolie to brush through and blend the pencil for a natural finish. I then fill in any sparse spots that remain.
Here's how my brows look with just the NYX Brow Glue (left) versus layered with the Powder Louder pencil.

Overall, the NYX Powder Louder Brow Pencil is perfect for anyone looking to achieve bold, voluminous brows that have a soft finish, with precision and pigment for easy, everyday use.
NYX Professional Makeup The Brow Glue.
Fast facts:
Features a glue-like gel formula that is flake-resistant and dries down to a non-sticky finish.
Now available in four shades including Transparent, Taupe, Medium Brown and Dark Brown.
Offers up to 16 hours of extreme hold, making it ideal for keeping brows in place throughout the day.
Comes with a precise round bristle brush for easy styling, whether creating a laminated or natural look.
My NYX Professional Makeup The Brow Glue review:

If you're looking for a brow product that provides both pigment and hold in one step, NYX Professional Makeup The Brow Glue is a fantastic, affordable choice.
The formula isn’t crunchy or stiff, and the small spoolie ensures a precise application. It's perfect for creating a bold, laminated look or something more natural on no-makeup days.
I love that I can get away with using just this product without needing to fill in sparse areas with a pencil. But if I do want extra definition, I find it’s best to wait until the gel fully sets to prevent the pigment from looking muddy.
Here's how my brow looks with (right) and without the NYX Brow Glue.

It's subtle, but it fills and fluffs them just enough—not too heavy but still buildable for a natural finish, allowing you to customise the intensity to your liking.
Another thing I appreciate about this brow glue is its great value for money, delivering impressive results for less than 20 dollars.
While it might not have the same super-strong hold as the original transparent version (IMO), it still keeps brows looking fuller, fluffy, and natural.
The only downside? The shade range is a bit limited. But overall, it's a fantastic pick if you're after an all-in-one product that keeps your brows in place with a hint of colour.
