A Makeup Artist’s Budget L'Oréal Routine Including *That* Viral Skin Tint

After more than eight years as a makeup artist, I have watched MANY trends come and go, and some of them I have been very happy to wave goodbye to, but one I am genuinely excited about is the rise of skincare-infused makeup.
You might be wondering, what even is skincare-infused makeup?
Put simply, it is makeup formulated with skin-loving ingredients that aim to combine the benefits of skincare and makeup in one.
In other words, these are the ideal products for anyone who wants a glam moment while still taking care of their skin.
Even if you have never heard the term skincare-infused makeup before, I would bet you have heard of, or maybe even own, a few products that fit into this category without realising it.
I am a big fan of a hardworking makeup and skincare duo, so when I saw the L'Oreal Paris True Match Serum Foundation blowing up on TikTok, I knew I had to try it.
My L'Oréal Paris Makeup Routine.
To really give this serum foundation a true road test, I decided to do a full face of L'Oréal skincare-infused makeup goodies to see if they lived up to the hype!
1. Primer.
First up, it was time to prime.
Admittedly, I have actually found myself reaching for primers less and less these days as I usually use a moisturiser as a primer for PM makeup applications and a hydrating SPF for daytime applications.
However, when I saw that the L'Oréal Paris Prime Lab 24H Pore Minimiser Primer had 1% AHA+LHA+BHA complex (i.e. exfoliants) included in its formulation, I decided to give it a try.

My L'Oréal Paris Prime Lab 24H Pore Minimiser Primer review:
First impressions: it has super lightweight packaging that's great for travel, a texture most similar to a gel with a velvet finish, and a soothing, slightly floral/fresh scent.
This primer is extremely easy to use and would be most suited to anyone looking for a primer that gives a soft focus/blurred effect once applied.
The added benefits of 1% AHA+LHA+BHA complex mean that with each wear, you are helping your skin appear more refined over time.
As I have a normal-dry skin type I preferred to apply this primer only on my T-zone to help combat shine throughout the day.
However, if you were an oily skin type, you would probably love the effect of applying this primer all over the face.
I could definitely see the blurring effect take place immediately after I applied the primer, which was a big tick in my books.
2. Complexion.
Now onto the star of the show, the L'Oréal Paris True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum (AKA a holy grail product when it comes to skincare-infused makeup).
This innovative serum-foundation hybrid contains 1% hyaluronic acid working to give your skin a smoother, more radiant look.

My L'Oréal Paris True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum review:
First impressions: it has sturdy glass with a pipette-style dispenser, a typical foundation scent with no detectable fragrance and a lightweight fluid texture that blends in seamlessly and leaves a dewy finish.
Admittedly, after trying it for the first time, this foundation has been high on the roster for my go-to everyday face base.
I love wearing foundations that offer light coverage and aim to even out my skin tone whilst leaving a juicy glow to the skin, and this serum foundation has been the perfect match for my glowy needs.
Apart from how light it feels on the skin, my favourite thing about this foundation is how EASY it is to blend out.
Whether your weapon of choice is a foundation brush or your good old fingers, this foundation has an extremely flexible formula that blends into the skin like butter, leaving just the right amount of radiant glow.
If you are more of a combo/oily skin type, I recommend setting your face with powder to help alleviate unwanted shine/dewiness.

3. Eyes.
Thought that skincare-infused makeup was reserved only for complexion-based products? Think again!
Perfect for anyone who is craving volumised, thickened lashes, the L'Oréal Paris Paradise mascara will lift your lash game whilst ensuring that clumping, flaking and smudging are a thing of the past.

- Ideal for thin or sparse lashes.

My L'Oréal Paris Paradise Mascara review:
First impressions: it has cute pink packaging with a reflective upper handle, a rich yet lightweight formula that doesn't weigh the lashes down and a scentless formula which we love to see in an eye product.
This mascara is extremely easy to use thanks to its fluffy hourglass brush head. The size and density of the brush coat lashes seamlessly, whilst the lightweight formula binds to lashes easily.
I applied one coat and then waited 60 seconds before applying a second coat to really fan the lashes out and get the most volume.
I have quite long lower lashes so I found that I did get some smudging if I applied it here, however, on my top lashes there was no creasing, smudging, flaking or cracking which was a huge plus for me.
This mascara would be a great pick for anyone wanting their lashes to appear thicker and volumised.
I have also found that my lashes have felt way softer and fuller after wear thanks to the inclusion of nourishing castor oil within the formula.
4. Lips.
I am a true believer that a makeup look is never fully finished until lips have been applied!
Cue the L'Oréal Paris Brilliant Signature Plumping Lip Gloss.
Not only does this gloss make your lips look wonderfully shiny, but it also contains collagen complex and hyaluronic acid, helping to deliver smoother, fuller and more hydrated lips, with a high-shine finish.

My L'Oréal Brilliant Signature Plumping Lip Gloss review:
This gloss is nice and slim, making it easy to pop in a handbag on a night out or even a jacket pocket if you’re on the run.
It has a soft vanilla scent and I found that it didn’t have that sticky feeling that some glosses can have but rather a lightweight nourishing finish that felt hydrating on the lips.
Another unexpected bonus was the unique contoured applicator that was able to really hug the curves of the lip, making application super easy and quick.
Disclaimer: This is a PLUMPING gloss, so if you feel a cooling sensation/mild tingling after you’ve applied the gloss, don’t be alarmed, that’s just the plumping properties doing their thing.
If you’re after a plumping gloss that leaves your lips looking incredibly shiny whilst treating your lips to hydrating hyaluronic acid and collagen complex, this could be your new fave gloss.
Final Verdict.
I’m really impressed with the thought that has gone into these formulations.
We can achieve the same cosmetic results that we have always been searching for, but we now get to treat our skin to hydration and renewal whilst glamming.
These products would be perfect for anyone who loves healthy, glowing, hydrated skin with a side of glowy glam.
Oh and in case I haven’t already mentioned this, the price points don’t hurt either!
