Exactly How I Get My Signature Everyday Glossy Lip Look Using Just 3 Products

I enjoy nothing more than beating my face, soaking my skin in a delicious face mask and telling my Instagram followers all about it.
The holy grail ‘nude’ lipstick has been an iconic makeup must-have for years.
It began with ‘concealer lips’. (Yes, this was a phase, remember?)
Then, it morphed into the creamy beige lip colours we all saw in beauty TV commercials.
This one shade was called 'nude'.
By definition, being nude refers to wearing nothing but your skin. But what if your nude skin doesn't look like that one shade?
For most of my life, my relationship with ‘nude’ lip products was non-existent because I was adamant that nude lipsticks were not for people of colour.
I tried to make the swirls of vanilla, cream and beige work, but I was missing that empowered moment a nude lipstick is meant to leave you with.
Typically, when people hear the term ‘nude lip,’ a selection of tones come to mind.
But browns, caramels and deeper tones are not part of that vision.
But we're done with that, yeah?
My Brown 'Nude' Lip Look.
When you grow up in a world that only paints with one brush from one palette, it’s easy to believe there’s limited options.
I can relate to that frame of mind wholeheartedly, but it didn’t stop me from having a soft spot for a good old nude lippie.
And I'm talking about my nude lippie.
My go-to neutral lip look makes me feel complete and comfortable, yet elevated and put together.
I love this lip look so much, I wear it almost every time I do my makeup.
The brown lipstick and lip gloss combo is so simple, but my lips never look or feel dry when I wear it.
Now I’ve adequately hyped my favourite neutral lip products up, here’s what you need to know.

1. My New Favourite Lip Balm.

2. The MVP of Brown Lipsticks.
Next, let me introduce you to M.A.C Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘Taupe.’
This may be my most talked about, most worn neutral lip shade in lippie history.
M.A.C is renowned for their dazzling range of lip products; from matte and hydrating finishes, to shades of vampy plums, hot pinks and vibrant reds, they have every base covered.
I particularly love the formulation of the M.A.C matte lipsticks as they are long-wearing, non-drying and help enhance your natural lip shape.
They're also forgiving and very easy to apply.
Swipe M.A.C lipstick in Taupe all over the lip (lip liner isn’t necessary), then rub your lips together to even out the spread of colour, and the neutral lip of your dreams has arrived.
Because the lip balm is layered underneath, you will notice a slight glossy finish.
But stay with me, because we are going to take ‘gloss’ to the next level.
3. A Truly Universal Lip Gloss.
If the packaging doesn’t stop you from scrolling, the glossy finish of this lip gloss will.

Trust me, this shade can suit EVERYONE. And the gloss isn't sticky!
