My Review of This Classic Mineral Makeup Brand: Jane Iredale

In 1994, Jane Iredale revolutionised the beauty industry when she created a range of mineral makeup products, all designed with a skincare ethos in mind. It's a cult brand, IYKYK!
I have to admit, before my time at Adore Beauty, Jane Iredale wasn’t a brand that had crossed my radar.
And as someone who loves makeup and trying new things, I was instantly intrigued.
I am all for a no-makeup makeup look and always after super easy to wear products that are good for my skin so was excited to try some of the heroes from the range.
Is Jane Iredale makeup good?
Jane Iredale offers high performance formulas with skincare benefits to enhance your natural radiance.
Their multitasking products maximise and simplify your routine (yes please 🙂).
It's also cruelty free and they are certified by the CCIC (Leaping Bunny).
Plus, all Jane Iredale products are free of parabens, talc, phthalates, synthetic fragrances if that's what you prefer.

My Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Illuminating Glow Facial Primer review:
Hyaluronic acid, tick! Glow, tick! I loved this primer. I am a huge fan of a primer under my makeup and sometimes that is all I wear. This primer was really soothing on my skin and really hydrated my skin.
Is Jane Iredale good for ageing skin?
As I get older, my skin is really dry so I am always looking for products that keep it hydrated and this one did.
This is now part of my daily makeup routine, a real stand out for me!

My Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation review:
This is the hero product from Jane Iredale’s range.
I have not used a pressed powder for some time and was a little nervous given how dry my skin can get. But I was pleasantly surprised at how this felt on my skin, it definitely didn't make my skin feel dry and it didn't cake.
I was also surprised at the coverage it gave. I suffer from a lot of pigmentation and this did a wonderful job in covering it up. When you first purchase the pressed powder, be sure to also purchase the Jane Iredale Refillable Compact for the refill.
I also shade matched using our Findation tool on the website and this matched perfectly.
I used their sponge to apply the product which was really easy to use and provided great coverage This also sat really well on top of the Jane Iredale HydroPure Tinted Serum for a more glowy look!
I completed my complexion routine with the Jane Iredale Pommisst Hydration Spray Refill 281ml which was so refreshing and I also popped it in my handbag for a refresh during the day!
Jane Iredale Longest Lash Mascara.
Fun Facts:
- Instantly thickens and lengthens eyelashes.
- Tapered brush makes application a breeze.
- Helps to reduce splitting and breakage.
My Jane Iredale Longest Lash Mascara in Black Ice review:
This was the surprise product for me.
I am suuuuper fussy when it comes to mascara. I always seem to struggle with clumps or with different types of brushes but this was such a lovely mascara.
It was easy to apply, didn't clump and gave my lashes lovely coverage and volume.
The great thing with this mascara is it also comes in Espresso which is a definite add to cart for me!
Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Blush.

- Silky formula applies with ease and is never choppy or cakey.
- Protective antioxidants and minerals to treat the skin.
My Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Blush in Barely Rose review:
I have been living in my cream blush era due to my mature skin and its need to be constantly hydrated! So I wasn’t too sure how I would feel about a powder blush but my oh my, this pressed blush was beautiful.
The colour is so subtle but leaves you with a lovely flush to the cheeks. It applied so easily and felt really lovely on the skin. Another Jane Iredale product added to my makeup bag. This blush comes in a wide range of colours too!
I completed my makeup look with the Jane Iredale Glow Time Bronzer Stick in Scorch. This is a cream bronzer and was so easy to apply. It was darker on my skin than what I would usually go for but it blended out beautifully. It was also great to add to my eye lids for contour and shadow.
On my lips I used the Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain in Forever Pink which was really pretty and hydrating on my lips.
Final Thoughts...
Well now I am definitely in the know. Jane Iredale offers high quality makeup products with skincare benefits - to me that's a win win.
Easy-to-apply makeup is also a win for me and throughout the day, my skin never felt dry and my makeup lasted.
