Gucci Beauty Lands at Adore Beauty: A Makeup Artist's Review and Routine

Being a makeup artist, I’ve come across my fair share of prestige beauty brands but I’d never had the chance to dip my toe into the world of Gucci, so you can imagine how excited I was when I found out I was getting to road test some of their iconic makeup range.
Here are some of my personal faves!
My Gucci Beauty Routine.
1. Gucci Beauty Eternité De Beauté Foundation Spf 15.
To be totally transparent with you, I have a normal to dry skin type so I don’t generally reach for mattifying foundations.
However, in the name of beauty I of course tried the Gucci Eternite De Beaute Foundation.
Before we get into my review, let’s list some fast facts:
- 24H no-transfer wear.
- Full coverage.
- Weightless breathable texture.
- Luminous matte finish.
- Bamboo powder to help control shine.
- 40 shades available.
- Infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Black Rose Oil to help hydrate the skin.
- Aims to blur pores, even out complexion and conceal imperfections.
My Gucci Beauty Eternité De Beauté Foundation Spf 15 review:
Firstly I have to comment on how light and airy this formula is. Although it definitely offers full coverage, it has a velvet matte finish that feels feather-light when applied to the skin.
As soon as I applied this to my cheeks I felt like my skin had been treated with some sort of invisible airbrush, which was really impressive.
As I have a normal/dry skin type I did find that certain parts of my face did catch slightly on the foundation, however, if you adequately hydrated your skin prior to foundation application this wouldn’t be an issue.
Although it had a mattifying finish to my skin, I still felt adequately hydrated which must be thanks to the hyaluronic acid and black rose oil infused in the formula.
This foundation definitely goes the distance, lasting a full day in the office and going over to a friend's house (hello 15+ hours of wear).
Although I have a normal skin type, I do find that towards the end of the day, I do have a slight build-up of shine on my forehead area, however, I can confirm that with this foundation shine was pretty much non-existent.
Instead, I had a healthy glow to my cheeks and looked perfectly mattified everywhere else.
I found that I liked applying this best with a kabuki brush so I could really buff it into the skin, however, I think that a damp beauty sponge would also work really well as it blends like a dream.
As this is a mattifying, long-wear formula I would say this is suitable for all skin types, but especially great for those with oily/combo skin types, who want their foundation to not budge.
For those who want the long-lasting magic of this foundation but are after a bit of a dewy glow, I can recommend spritzing your face with the Gucci Beauty Brume De Beaute Mist which works wonders to hydrate skin and set makeup in place all day long.
2. Gucci Beauty Concentré De Beauté Concealer.
Spoiler alert, I love this concealer! I’m always on the hunt for the perfect concealer—something that not only adds coverage but feels like a second skin.
Enter Gucci Beauty Concentré De Beauté Concealer.
Before I dive into my thoughts, let’s get to know this concealer a bit better:
- Long-lasting, full-coverage.
- Smooth, creamy texture.
- 24-hour wear that aims not to crease.
- Lightweight, hydrating formula.
- Available in 40 shades.
- Infused with skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to hydrate over time.
My Gucci Beauty Concentré De Beauté Concealer review:
What first struck me about this whole range is how luxurious the packaging is. I know we shouldn’t pick our products based on packaging, BUT, for a beauty-obsessed gal like me, I do appreciate a well-crafted wand when I see one.
My first impression of this concealer was that it glided effortlessly across my skin, and did a good job at blending seamlessly whilst providing decent coverage in areas of concern like my under eyes.
As this has a satin, second-skin finish, I would warn that if you have super oily eyelids, it would probably be best to double-set this with some powder if you want to use it as an eyeshadow base.
One special thing about this formula is that it’s enriched with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, meaning that you not only get an immediate cosmetic effect but you also have skin-loving ingredients working for you over time.
This would be a great pick for all skin types, but especially good for those wanting a lightweight, satin finish concealer that works to brighten and blur.
3. Gucci Beauty Blush De Beauté.
Now time for cheeks!
I was sooo excited to dip into the Gucci Beauty Blush De Beauté in shade 03 radiant pink.
Before we jump into things, let me get you better acquainted:
- Multi-use product that can be used on both cheeks and eyes.
- Smooth and lightweight texture.
- Delivers long-lasting, buildable colour.
- Formulated with shea butter, hyaluronic acid and black rose oil.
- Available in 9 shades.
My Gucci Beauty Blush De Beauté review:
This is a gorgeous lightweight, yet buildable blush that can be used on both cheeks and eyes.
I do have to mention that it offers a subtle sweet rose scent that I personally love and found this to be a super versatile step in my makeup look.
It sings as a stand-alone flush of colour to the cheeks OR can be used to set a cream blush. What more could you want?!
4. Gucci Beauty Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick.
Because no makeup look is complete without a lip, it was time to treat my pout to the Gucci Beauty Rouge a Levres Satin Lipstick.
Here are some quick facts about my new fave lippy:
- Creamy satin lipstick.
- Provides a comfortable moisturising feel.
- Lightweight formula.
- Intense colour payoff.
- Floral fragrance with violet notes and a soft, fruity scent.
- Dermatologically tested.
My Gucci Beauty Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick review:
I looooove the feel of a creamy satin lip so we really were a match made in heaven.
Once again, I do have to touch on the beautifully crafted packaging that looks like a work of art in your handbag!
Inspired by the designs of vintage makeup, the lipstick is presented in a gold-toned tube etched with a decorative Art Deco-influenced motif.
Now onto the actual product, I reached for shade 121 Elena Sand and found that it delivered the perfect terracotta flush to my lips.
The creamy formulation means that it works really well as a cream blush if you want to marry up your lips and your cheeks or add a flush of colour on the go.
