Low on time? Check out our key takeaways below
Key Takeaways
- Quick makeup routine: I emphasise a super fast five-minute makeup tutorial for those busy mornings or unexpected video calls.
- Foundation choice: I prefer light to medium coverage foundations with a dewy finish, which can be applied without primer for speed.
- Concealer tips: I recommend using your fingers to apply concealer for a natural blend, especially under the eyes.
- Cream products preferred: I find that cream bronzer and blush provide a glowy finish that enhances my natural features.
- Face palette usage: I suggest using an all-over face palette to simplify cheek and eye makeup when time is tight.
- Brow essentials: I always use a brow gel to quickly frame my face, opting for clear or tinted options depending on time constraints.
- Mascaras for impact: I often skip mascara unless necessary, but I have a couple of go-to options for when I want to open up my eyes.
- Lip care focus: My favourite lip balm keeps my lips looking juicy, and I sometimes enhance my look with a classic lip liner.

So, you accidentally hit the snooze button too many times and now you've got five minutes to get ready in the morning.
Or, your co-worker just sent you a 'hey can you jump on a zoom call' message, but you still look like you rolled out of bed three seconds ago.
Or maybe you're just *really busy* and don't want to spend a tonne of time doing your makeup every day.
Whatever your reason, this everyday five-minute makeup routine is for you.
Promise, it's super quick and super easy.
No intricate winged eyeliners or 23,897 steps here - just a fast makeup tutorial you can have in your easy makeup looks arsenal to whip out when you're in a rush.
Literally anyone and everyone can nail this natural yet put together makeup look.
So, watch the YouTube video below to see how a makeup artist gets ready in less than five minutes!
Step 1. Foundation Tips For Fast Makeup.
Presuming you've already done your skin care and sunscreen, we can jump right into base products.
I have normal to dry skin, so I usually look for something with light to medium coverage and a dewy finish for everyday wear.
No primer needed, just straight into foundation applied however you like best - fingers, a beauty sponge or a brush.
Spectrum MB01 Buffing Foundation Brush or any buffing brush is great when you want to work quickly.
As for which foundations I like for every day?

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream SPF50 is another pick if you like a dewy, medium to full coverage foundation.
Step 2. Easy Concealers.
Now that base is on and sorted, a tiny bit of concealer just underneath my under-eyes brightens that area.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is an oldie but a goodie. I just love the way it brightens, and I use my ring finger to press the product in. The warmth from my finger is able to warm up that product and really melt it into my skin.
I would definitely say with this everyday makeup routine, don't be afraid to use your fingers over brushes.
They're really time-effective!
Step 3. Cream Bronzer & Cream Blush.

But I've actually been using cream products over powder lately.
They're able to give my skin a little bit more glow, and the result looks a lot closer to my natural features.
Applying a cream bronzer like
Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Bronzer and buffing it into the skin adds a heap of structure and colour to the face.
I like to add the tiniest little bit just on the perimeters of my forehead, and then sometimes, I'll go along my jawline ever so slightly.
For cream blush, I'm loving the
M.A.C COSMETICS Glow Play Blush in the shade Blush Please.
It's a muted rose shade that suits my personal skin tone, but I love the formula because it's almost like a creamy putty.
Or you can watch my TikTok blush hack video below.
Step 4. Use A Face Palette For Cheeks & Eyes.
Super strapped for time? Run a bit of your bronzer or blush over the eyelid for a wash of colour.
But if you've got an extra 30-60 seconds, grab an all-over face palette to cover highlighter and eyeshadow!
Lately, I've been loving mixing all the shades in
Benefit Miss Glow-it-All Palette and pressing them into the high points of my face around the temple and over the cheekbones.
Then, grab an eyeshadow brush like
Spectrum B06 Tall Shader Eye Brush and run a bronze shade through the crease of your eye for extra definition.
The creamy textures of these shades are subtle, but give a radiant wash of colour to the face... which is exactly what one needs when they've overslept.
Step 5. Easy Brow Products.
I like to always do my eyebrows because they frame the whole face.
Everyone has their go-to brow products - when I'm in a rush, mine are a clear or tinted brow gel.
Quick version is to brush my brow hairs upwards using
Benefit 24 Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel to give them that nice, fluffy look.
If I'm feeling like I want to make more effort, I'll use
MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Resist Brow Fixer to add extra dimension and fill in any sparse areas.
Step 6. Favourite Mascaras.
Next is mascara to open up the eyes.
You can always completely skip the mascara step - I do most days, to be completely honest, unless I have a really important meeting on.
Two mascaras I've been loving lately:
Step 7. My All-Time Favourite Lip Balm.
Last thing is lips!
My favourite lip balm is
Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-balm - Peach because it makes my lips look nice and juicy.
Exhibit A above.
Feel like doing a bit more? You can actually pop a little bit of lip liner on beforehand -
M.A.C Cosmetics Lip Pencil in the shade Stripdown is a classic.
Voila! Good to go!
