We Try Kerasilk’s Under $50 Bond Treatment for Reviving and Protecting Damaged Hair

Ideal for all hair types, I had my colleague Maddy try it on her hair too, and of course it wouldn’t be a hair product road-test if I didn't rope my mum into trying it on her dry, coloured hair so I could really gauge how good this treatment was.

Any treatment or hair product I don’t have to set a timer on is something I’m instantly drawn to and instantly adding to cart (its affordable price tag is a bonus).
So like I said earlier, this deep-acting treatment had me at ‘leave-in’.
Next, the smell!
If you don’t already know, I’m a big fragrance person (I’m super lucky not to be allergic) and always want my body, skin and hair to smell delicious.
If I could describe the scent, it would be “fancy jellybeans”. Softly sweet.
The fast-absorbing texture was also notable. Its silky consistency feels lovely to work through the hair and hands aren’t left sticky and hair isn't either.
Doesn’t weigh down the hair at all and I loved how quickly my hair drank it up.
After giving it a quick blow dry (but before going over with a straightener), the result was subtle, but definitely noticeable. There was shine and there was lots of softness.

The final test was mum. I routinely make her road-test all the 'dry hair' and 'age-management' things because of her brittle, coloured hair and beautifully ageing skin (she’s not complaining).
When she hopped out of the shower and towel-dried her hair I asked her how it feels.
She said her hair was feeling noticeably softer and for one wash that’s a pretty great result.
When I was straightening her hair for her I could feel the softness too, and when I was done, I could see the results. Soft, shiny and fluffy (in a good 'give you body' way).
According to the brand, the Kerasilk bond treatment also promises to: “significantly improve the elasticity of each hair strand (clinically tested in comparison to untreated hair) and provide natural shine and increased smoothness.”

"This Kerasilk bond builder was the perfect addition to my current hair routine - as it not only seriously improved the look and feel of my hair, it was also super easy to use.
First up, the smell is absolutely delicious, and personally that’s a make or break for hair products.
Next I loved that it was a leave-in for towel tried hair.
I let my hair air dry on hair wash days, so I could tell that the glorious shine was from this Kerasilk builder as it was the only thing I put in my hair after double-shampooing and conditioning.
Even better was that I felt the effects days after using the leave-in: that pic above?
That’s my hair after a full day in the office, with only a hot brush run through it in the morning to tackle some of the frizz. Incredible!
