The thing about my hair is… it’s stubborn. It speaks two hair languages and that is 'limp' and 'lifeless'.
That was of course, before I trialled 12030929 products and narrowed
down my favourites, so you can cut through the busyness of beauty and relish in luscious hair.
Good to know facts about my locks: I have
fine hair but a lot of it. I get flyaways, struggle deeply with volume and my South Asian roots blessed me with some natural gloss.
But I’m greedy and want more. Additionally, before asking for the most voluminous do of my life, I repeatedly tell every hairdresser that “my hair doesn’t hold onto
any curl or fullness.”
The goal is always volume and shine. If the above sounds like you, keep reading as I change your life with these products that always help me achieve just that.
Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Shampoo

Never underestimate the power of a hardworking shampoo. I use the Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Shampoo to win the battle of frizz and gently cleanse whilst smoothing the surface.
This shampoo is extra special as it is formulated to remove metals and build-up from the hair whilst infusing omega-9 and squalane to boost moisture and shine.
I particularly appreciate this shampoo for protecting against humidity.
Hot Tip: If frizz isn’t a huge concern, but you’re wanting to focus on volume, opt for
Robe Haircare Thickening Shampoo. It deeply cleanses the scalp and restores body and volume using fortifying actives. Meaning, it’s made for limp and lifeless locks.
Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Conditioner
Conditioner will always matter. It’s the moisturiser to your facial cleanser. When I’m not hair masking I’m conditioning, but I want the the formula to be an ideal balance of luxuriously rich yet not too heavy.
Squeeze enough of the Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Conditioner for your hair length and work it from mid lengths to the ends, leave it on for 3 mins and rinse.
This one is special because it targets dullness and adds irresistible shine without being high maintenance.
Think, non-greasy, shine focused, detangles, increases hair manageability and of course smooths and softens.
This is what I use in between nourishing hair masks.
Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Oil

Now before you yell at me for the price point of this hair mask, hear me out. This may be one of, if not the best hair masks I’ve used in my entire hair masking life.
I remember the moment I fell in love with this treatment. It coated my hair in what felt like silk and when I rinsed and styled, my hair just behaved, bounced and embodied beauty.
Prickly Pear Seed Oil nourishes the hair, offering regenerative benefits whilst repairing and protecting against environmental damage. It revives damaged hair back to life and I have loved this hair mask for years.
Leave this on your mid lengths to ends for 5 mins, an hour or overnight (once or twice a week) and thank me later.
L'Occitane Intensive Repair Sublimating Hair Oil

Hair oils are a gamechanger. But when they’re formulated to not weigh your hair down, they’re even better.
The L'Occitane Intensive Repair Sublimating Hair Oil is best used on damp hair in my opinion. After unwrapping my hair from the towel, I drop 2 to 3 golden pools of oil into my palm, rub my hands together and scrunch the ends of my hair. Add more or less to your preference. You could also lightly pat through the remainder oil on your palms over the top of your hair to reduce frizz and add an extra coat of shine.
This hair oil is a multitasking hero. You can also use this lightweight formula of sweet almond and sunflower seed oil as a deep restoring treatment over night and rinse in the morning.
It is a huge relief that I don’t need to compromise on volume when I want shine.
This routine allows for the best of both worlds; hair health, styling and a best friend for thin, lacklustre hair. Which is always a win!
