If you’ve recently dyed your hair blonde, or frizziness and coarse strands sound familiar, you’ll want to pay close attention.
In a recent YouTube video, Beauty IQ Uncensored host Hannah Furst shared her top Olaplex picks for her newly dyed blonde hair which also happens to be prone to frizzing.
Her recent hair transformation calls for three main Olaplex products (and a few other non-Olaplex hair heroes) to help her achieve and maintain a healthy and vibrant bronde.
Keep scrolling to find out what the must-have products that have earned a top spot in her bronde haircare routine are...

1. Olaplex No.4P Blonde Hair Hydrating & Brightening Purple Toning Shampoo.

Fast facts:
  • A purple toning shampoo for blonde and grey hair.
  • Is enriched with Olaplex’s signature bond-restoring ingredient.
  • Works against brassy tones, brightens and restores colour.
  • Key ingredients include:
    • Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, Olaplex’s patented ingredient which helps restore the broken disulfide bonds in damaged hair.
    • Violet pigments, to neutralise brassiness.
Why Hannah uses this in her blonde hair routine:
“I alternate between the Olaplex No. 4 and the Olaplex No.4P"
Hannah uses the No.4P once a week to freshen up the blonde and take out a lot of the brassiness.
"You'd use yor Olaplex No. 4 first THEN go in with the purple shampoo."
As for No. 4?
“This is the best shampoo; this is my third bottle, and I need to buy the litre.”
How to use the Olaplex No.4P Blonde Hair Hydrating & Brightening Purple Toning Shampoo:
First, give your hair a pre-wash with your usual shampoo to remove product buildup and open your hair up.
Then, lather a walnut or so of this shampoo through your hair and leave it to sit for 3-5 minutes.
Rinse, and follow with either conditioner or a hair mask.
Use weekly or whenever you feel like your hair needs brightening.
Make sure to work quickly and rinse your hands - this is a strong and punchy purple shampoo.
AB Customer Lana says:
"This purple shampoo is great at neutralising yellows without being overly drying. Smells amazing too!"

2. Olaplex No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Damage Repair Hair Mask Treatment.

Fast facts:
  • An intensely hydrating and repairing mask for all hair types.
  • Great for dry, coarse and brittle hair.
  • Can be used in place of conditioner, 1-2 times a week
  • A hair hero, it hydrates, strengthens and restores.
  • Also adds body and shine.
  • Is vegan and cruelty free.
Why Hannah uses this in her blonde hair routine:
While there is a conditioner, Hannah prefers the mask, “because I've got such dry, such frizzy hair that I need the mask.”
“You don't need much.”
Hannah works two pumps through then uses a wet brush to get out any knots, and she finds that even that small amount is enough for her thick of hair.
Bang for your buck.
AB Customer Chloe B says:
"I have been bleaching and going back to natural brown for around 13 years. I have never found anything I like to stop my hair from fizzing until my hair dresser put me onto this it's an absolute saviour! I had my hair fried off bleach over bleach and she left it on too long and I had fried bits everywhere just before my wedding last year and my hair is finally coming back after around 3 months of this product also dries in 45 mins instead of 7 hours."

3. Kérastase Blond Absolu Ultra-Violet Hair Mask.

Fast facts:
  • An intensive toning hair mask instantly neutralises yellow and brassy tones.
  • Designed for cool blonde and grey hair.
  • Contains hyaluronic acid (hydrates and smooths) as well as Edelweiss flower (adds antioxidant protection).
  • For best results use weekly, alternating with Bain Ultra-Violet.
Why Hannah uses this in her blonde hair routine:
Now, those were Hannah’s top Olaplex picks, but as a beauty lover, it only makes sense that she would be a fan of some other products for her blonde, frizzy hair routine too.
One of those being the Kérastase Blond Absolu Ultra-Violet Hair Mask which she also likes because it's a rinse-out treatment that you can just use in the shower.
AB customer Sarah says:
"This mask really delivers. My hair is no longer copper, back to salon finished colour. It smells great and feels soft."

4. K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil.

Fast facts:
  • A biotech-engineered, powerhouse hair oil that strengthens, repairs damage and reduces frizz.
  • Has a light formula (can confirm via my own review that it doesn't feel as dense and heavy as a lot of other hair oils) that works on all hair types.
  • Designed for 24-hour frizz control by smoothing and softening the cuticle without weighing it down.
  • Promises 78% reduction in split ends, more shine and also offers 232°C heat protection.
  • Uses the K18PEPTIDE™ technology to repair and strengthen damage at the innermost layer of hair to actually reverse the damage that leads to frizz in the first place.
  • Infused with avocado oil, sunflower oil and squalane to nourish, smooth, enhance shine and improve colour vibrancy.
  • Is silicone-free.
Why Hannah uses this in her blonde hair routine:
The K18 hair oil is another great addtion for those who get a lot of frizz.
“Once I'm out of the shower, I’ll put through this K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil.
I’ll use maybe three drops in my hair.”
I can personally vouch for this oil too. I would say this is my favourite hair oil to apply on dry hair especially if you're prone to oily and greasy roots like me, it doesn't weigh the hair down or leave behind an oil slick.
AB Customer Narges says:
"Amazing oil smooths hair that lasts all day."

Finally...

After working all those bronde-boosting products through her coarse strands, it’s then time for Hannah to blow dry her hair following up with a few passes of her GHD Max Wide-Plate Hair Straightener (this one is ideal for thicker and longer manes).
This whole routine means Hannah finds she can push her hair wash out almost a week!
Impressive.
