The Adore Beauty office are big fans of Australian-made perfume brand who is elijah.
And why wouldn’t we be? Each one of their scents smells *so gewd*.
The cocktail of alluring notes in each who is elijah fragrance explains why they’ve so quickly soared in popularity over the last couple of years.
Whenever I spritz myself with one of their beautiful scents, someone asks me what I’m wearing.
My beloved who is elijah NOMAD EDP 50mL is the perfect example. Whenever I have this on, without fail, someone will either compliment me, ask what I have on or ask if I’m wearing Baccarat rouge 540 - iykyk.
And just when you think the stable of who is elijah scents can’t get any better (and you’ve already placed your staff order for the one you’ve just fallen in love with) - boom!
They release a new fragrance that is equally as good as the last.
Who is elijah, if you’re reading this - you are emptying our bank accounts at a very unhealthy speed.
After deciding their last perfume launch who is elijah MORNING AFTER EDP 50mL was my new favourite who is elijah scent, they’ve gone and dropped two new fragrances.
(Classic who is elijah move).
But these two are different.
Dipping their toes in the art of ‘scent layering’, the Australian-made perfume brand says these two new fragrances are made to be worn together…(or alone if you wish!).
“Stronger together, REBEL ROSE and WALL STREET were designed with intention to perfectly complement one another.”
When our Marketing Coordinator for Hair, Makeup and Fragrance Laura passed them both to me for a sniff, I asked if she could give me her thoughts and review on one and I would review the other.
Even though she loved the scent-layering aspect of these perfumes, she politely agreed.
Luckily, I gravitated more towards one and Laura towards the other.
So let’s meet who is elijah’s new fragrances, ‘Rebel Rose’ and ‘Wall Street’…

What is who is elijah Rebel Rose?

How the brand describes this spicy, floral scent:
“Meet the Rebel of WALL STREET. Like a rose on fire, REBEL ROSE kindles a gentle femininity with distinct masculinity. Inspiring you to write your own rules, REBEL ROSE intoxicatingly blends woodsy spice and leather with florals, vanilla and white musk.”
Who is elijah Rebel Rose notes:
  • Head: Saffron, laudanum, cumin, pepper.
  • Heart: Bulgarian rose, patchouli leaf, violet.
  • Base: Leather, oud, amber, vanilla, white musk.
Laura’s who is elijah Rebel Rose perfume review:
“Rebel Rose smells like it sounds - a masculine twist on the budding notes of roses.”
“The floral undertones are unlike anything else I've smelled from them but the blend of spice and flora still deliver that signature gender neutral scent that who is elijah is soooo good at.
At first spritz it's a sultry bouquet - but once it settled on my skin the warmth developed and the spices and woodines came through.
I'm a lover of fragrances with sweeter vanilla and floral notes - and only have a few in my fragrance wardrobe that delve into a woodier palette, but I feel like this is a nice middle ground - especially for winter.
Although I totally would wear it alone - I loved it even more applied over ‘Wall Street’.
There was something certainly more ‘va va voom’ about how the leather notes settled on my skin when I sprayed Rebel Rose and Wall Street together.
I love to layer my fragrances anyway - and as these are actually designed to be worn together it just elevated the experience. *added to cart*.”

What is who is elijah Wall Street?

How the brand describes this powerful scent:
“Meet WALL STREET. Just like the name portrays, be instantly transported to the hustle of New York City. The city that never sleeps, that thrives off creativity & ambition, this smoky, woody fragrance will ignite the power in you to be unstoppable. Just like the first day of spring, top notes of Rose & Raspberry will remind you that power is nothing without passion.”
Who is elijah Wall Street notes:
  • Head: Rose, raspberry, Egyptian geranium.
  • Heart: Oud, incense, saffron.
  • Base: Amberwood, benzoin, leather.
My who is elijah Wall Street perfume review:
I thought I had found my signature ‘night out’ scent in NOMAD. But the blend of sweet and bold notes of Wall Street are so alluring, I think this is my new go-to evening scent.
While NOMAD leans slightly sweeter, Wall Street has a bold intensity that exudes strength but also has an elegance about it. If Giorgio Armani’s ‘Si’ had a niche sister, this would be it.
The powerful medley of smoke, floral and wood notes in this fragrance immediately commands your attention.
The first spritz delivers a very strong hit to the nose but after a few minutes, settles into the perfect balance of cool, strong, sweet and leathery notes.
When road-testing it for this article, I sprayed a healthy amount on before meeting a friend for dinner and our waitress said to me, “I love whatever perfume you’re wearing!”
I asked her, “how would you describe it?” she replied, “I don’t know, strong, but not too much, it just smells really good.”
This is a true story, it happened at the very delicious Baby Pizza in Melbourne recently (highly recommend).
So if it has a stranger’s tick of approval, you know it’s going to be a winner.

Final Thoughts...

I really don’t know how I keep falling for who is elijah scents thinking the next can’t be good as the last…
Touché who is elijah, touché.
