Friends, it’s time for a seasonal fragrance reset because we are officially in SPRING - hallelujah!
The way I could actually cry from happiness.
As the season shifts, so do my scents: my beloved smoky, woody fragrances are taking a backseat, making way for those fresh, green, and earthy "spring-in-a-bottle" scents to take centre stage.
This got me thinking—if I could only wear only one fragrance that truly embodies spring, which one would it be?
So I turned to my beauty-savvy colleagues to find out what their go-to spring scent would be if they had to choose just one. I know, I know, kind of cruel of me to ask them to only pick one. I like a challenge!
If you’re in need of a little 'spring fragrances' inspiration for the start of the new season, the AB team has got you covered.
Keep scrolling for our team’s top spring scents and what in their opinion, perfectly captures the essence of spring.
(Yes I realise I just said 'spring' about 10000 times, can you tell I'm excited for the end of winter?)
Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum.

Notes:
Head: Rangoon Creeper accord.
Heart: Jasmine.
Base: Tuberose.
Why this is my top spring scent:
To me, nothing says: “spring time perfume” more than Gucci Bloom (well, the whole
Gucci fragrance stable really) so that would be my top pick.
This is not a very typical “Sadaf” scent, for context, most of my fragrance wardrobe consists of scents like
Aesop Eidesis Eau de Parfum 50ml,
who is elijah MORNING AFTER EDP 50mL,
Goldfield & Banks SILKY WOODS Perfume 100ml (you get the drift ) and while I’ll still be dousing myself in Eidesis throughout spring thanks to its transeasonal leafy, earthy smell, I’ll be spritzing the intoxicatingly uplifting Gucci Bloom on special spring occasions.
It also reminds me a lot of the women in my family and the type of scents they wear which I love.
Goldfield & Banks 'Mystic Bliss'.

Notes:
Head: Kunzea accord, oliban, fig, mint, Guatemalan cardamom, cassis.
Heart: Clary sage, caramel, geranium, juniper, immortelle, orris.
Base: Cedarwood, sandalwood, labdanum absolute, vetiver.
Why this is AB Staffer Liz's top spring scent:
"I’m reaching for the newest sparkly jewel of a fragrance in my extensive collection - Goldfield & Bank’s Mystic Bliss.
This is the perfect “Melbourne spring” perfume because it’s green and aromatic from the fig and clary sage notes (that’s the sunny days!) but it still has a lot of woody base notes (those cooler spring showers we know all too well…).
Bonus points because I’ve smelt a lot of perfumes in my time and this is truly one of the most unique ones I’ve ever experienced!"
Prada Paradoxe.

Notes:
Top Notes: Calabrian Bergamot Heart, Tangerine Essence, Pear Accord.
Heart Notes: Neroli Essence and Neroli Bud Essence, Tunisian Orange Flower Heart Absolute Blossom, Jasmine Sambac Absolute.
Base Notes: Amber Accord, Laos Benzoin Resinoid, Madagascar Premium Bourbon Vanilla Infusion, White Musk Accord.
Why this is AB Staffer Jas's top spring scent:
"I fell in love with this spring-coded scent last year, and it has quickly become my go-to for warmer days.
Prada Paradoxe is the perfect balance of contrasting notes, making it ideal for the transitional season.
At its heart, you'll find two of my favourite notes: neroli and jasmine (naturally).
These floral notes are beautifully anchored by a warm, resinous base of amber and creamy vanilla. The result is a well-rounded fragrance that effortlessly shifts from day to night with style – have you seen how cute the bottle is? 'Nuff said."
Burberry Her EDT Eau de Toilette.

Notes:
Head: Green pear, Strawberry, Blackcurrant and Pink peppercorn.
Heart: Honeysuckle, Peony, Rose and Lily of the Valley.
Why this is AB Staffer Chloe's top spring scent:
"As much as I wanted to gatekeep the Burberry Her EDT Eau de Toilette, my love for this fragrance is so strong that I couldn’t resist sharing.
The scent is a delightful fusion of fruity and floral notes, perfectly balanced with a hint of honeysuckle that adds a touch of sweetness and sophistication.
I’ve truly fallen head over heels for this fragrance, I’ve decided it will be my go-to scent leading up to my wedding.
If you’re looking for a signature scent that’s both captivating and feminine, the Burberry Her EDT is an absolute must-try."
Goldfield & Banks 'BOHEMIAN LIME'.

Notes:
Australian Finger lime. Coriander. Haitian Vetiver. Cedarwood. Australian Sandalwood.
Why this is AB Staffer Megan's top spring scent:
"I bought this for my husband because I was OBSESSED with the fresh, zesty scent, however, with full transparency, I have completely stolen this for myself.
It has the perfect combination of citrus and woody notes making it my go-to spring fragrance (that my husband and I now share)."
Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Eau & Magnolia.

Notes:
Head: Bergamot.
Heart: Magnolia, water notes.
Base: Sandalwood accord.
Why this is AB Staffer Ira's top spring scent:
"I love this one; it's fresh and aquatic and only slightly floral, so it very much smells like new beginnings. Very springtime."

Why this is AB Staffer Jess's top spring scent:
"If I could wear one fragrance all spring, it would definitely be Chloé EDP.
This scent is light, fresh and floral - basically all the beautiful things I associate with spring. For me, it's a classic 'clean girl' fragrance."
Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Extreme.

Notes:
Cumin, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Saffron, Tobacco, Vanilla, Bourbon.
Why this is AB Staffer Adele's top spring scent:
"Viktor & Rolf Spice bomb Extreme EDP is my perfume of choice for spring.
Its intense and spicy character, combined with notes like black pepper, cinnamon, and tobacco, creates a bold yet sophisticated fragrance.
Its warm, spicy profile can be a great way to transition from the colder months into the milder weather, adding a touch of luxury and depth to your fragrance collection."
