About me

I had zero background in beauty, basically raised by YouTube gurus until I started at Adore Beauty. Now my mantra is WWJFW: What Would Joanna Fleming Do?

At its worst, I decided I to embrace my pizza face, to stop wearing a full face of makeup every day and to focus more on skincare. The acne is mostly gone now, but I'm trying to fight the post inflammatory pigmentation.

The one bit of makeup I couldn't give up on a day-to-day basis was my eyebrows though — pomade brings life to my practically non existent brow hairs and I feel like a lesser person without them. I have had literal nightmares about forgetting to perfectly frame my face. I also tend to carry a backup pomade around with me in case of emergency. 

Plagued by chronic laziness, I live for hard working ingredients that make magic in little to no time at all and enable me to multitask. For many, multi masking is using different clay masks to target different skin concerns. For me, it's saving time by applying a face mask and a hair mask before I brush my teeth so they can all nourish me at once. I like to think of the toothpaste as a teeth mask. Most recently, I'm loving the Pai Copaiba Deep Cleanse AHA Mask and the VIRTUE Restorative Treatment Mask. 

My final non negotiable is a good mani. Apart from feeling more put-together than I really am, it also makes sure I'm not biting my fingers down to stubs.
