About me

I've been a beauty fanatic since I first stumbled upon the world of indie makeup in the mid-2000s, in what now seems like the wild west of beauty ecommerce. From there it didn't take long before I was acquainted with Adore Beauty as a customer, and then later as an assistant in the warehouse. Eventually I made my way to the Brands team, where I am lucky enough to talk and write about makeup, hair, and fragrance all day every day. I can't go past an elaborate eyeshadow look, and if there's glitter involved even better! As much as I love makeup I just can't seem to master bronzer. The end result always just looks like I fell in some dirt - great for Halloween but not so much the other 364 days of the year. Makeup will always be my one true beauty love but I've definitely also gotten a taste for luxe skincare - my ultimate skin goal is to banish the dehydration lines on my forehead once and for all, and of course fighting off those pesky hormonal chin breakouts.
